Basic Service is mowing, line trimming, edging, and clean up. MOWING of accessible turf areas will be performed per the attached maintenance schedule at an appropriate height for the season, turf type, and cultural practices of watering and fertilization. We mulch mow to promote a healthy lawn. EDGING and LINE TRIMMING (weed-eating) all turf areas adjacent to concrete curbs, sidewalks, and driveways will be blade edged with each mowing. Line-Trimming around building(s), trees, fences, and beds will be performed with each mowing. All walks, porches, patios, and driveways will be blown off with each mowing.
Fertilizer: Proper fertilization is vital to having a beautiful thick green lawn. We use professional grade fertilizers selected to meet the needs of our lawn to make it thick and green without over fertilizatiion which creates excess growth and invites pest and disease problems .
Pre-Emergent: Pre-emergents are effective at reducing the germination of new weeds in your yard; however they do not kill existing weeds.
Post Emergent: Post emergent herbicide is used to kill existing broadleaf and grassy weeds in your yard; however it does nothing to prevent new weeds. Yards that are severely infested with weeds will require multiple treatments to bring them under control. This selection does not control nutsedge.
Turf Growth Regulator: Diverts turf grasses growth resources from gaining height to improving turf density. Resulting in the thickest and greenest grass you have ever seen without the lawn looking shaggy at the weeks end or looking scalped after each mowing.
Tree & Shrub Fertilization: Balanced fertilizer containing the nutrients required for plants to maintain a healthy appearance .
Pesticide and Fungicide: Applications will be quoted and scheduled on an as needed basis since their need will vary from year to year. We will monitor your lawn and plant material for signs of insect or disease problems and make recommendations to you as to the course of action that will need to be taken.
Shrubs and/or Beds: Trimming shrubs (includes all shrubs under 5' in height) and hand and chemical weeding/cultivating beds as needed during the growing season per selections on maintenance schedule. An inspection of the shrubs and beds will be conducted at the beginning of the contract to determine any unusual or excessive maintenance needs that would require an initial clean-up for additional charges. Beds should be kept properly mulched to facilitate maintenance (mulch can be provided as needed at additional cost).
Ornamental Grasses: the annual cutting back of Liriope, Mondo, Pampass, and other grasses is an optional service not included with shrub or bed services.
